Word Rider #2

There’s a new poem up today on Word Rider, the Tofino Boardwalk art surfboard on display at the Common Loaf Bake Shop , First St., Tofino. This one is by well known Tofino poet and author Christine Lowther.

Eagle--Christine Lowther--cropEagle

You hang-glided overhead:
pantaloons extended,
talons poised.
You careened past
to speedland like a wakeboarder
on the water, struck,
scored the surface.
Came up empty
(lucky fishes).
Took off to harangue the osprey.
